Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge claims that he is feeling as sharp as he has ever been.
The forward has been going through an extended spell of injury time. After coming up with a quite impressive return of 24 goals in 33 appearances during the 2013-14 campaign, Sturridge has largely struggled with injuries. In the last four seasons, his best ever tally has been featuring in 27 matches during the 2016-17 campaign. Most of these appearances came as a substitute, as manager Jurgen Klopp does not seem to prefer the striker as a regular starting line-up player.
As a result, his goal record has suffered rather drastically. In the last four seasons, Sturridge has been only able to score 26 goals. He was widely linked with a move away from Liverpool during the summer, but it never materialised. The striker announced his return to the team by scoring in the 4-0 victory over Arsenal during the weekend. This goal was of massive importance, as it once again helped him get noticed by national team manager Gareth Southgate. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that his club will be challenging for the title this season.
He said that a club like Liverpool should always be going for the title and that this is what they will be doing this season. He believes that it is not good enough to challenge for a place in the Champions League and that they should give their best to challenge for the Premier League title.
Jurgen Klopp believes that he has a good team and that his players have not been accustomed to his playing style. He believes that if all his players remain fit, he should be able to mount a serious challenge for the title. However, he conceded that things will not be easy as there are so many strong teams in the league and that they have all invested massively in new players.

Premier League side Liverpool have decided to begin talks with Sporting Lisbon over the possibility of getting winger Gelson Martins this summer.
The club is seeking an alternative after a few setbacks in their transfer market pursuit this term.
The Merseyside club have reportedly agreed personal terms with target Mohammed Salah but AS Roma are yet to agree to the club’s transfer fee range. Roma want £35 million for the player which does not corresponds with Liverpool’s valuation.
The 22-year old Martins is highly rated in Portugal. Liverpool scouted him all season and they deem him fit for the role. He scored six goals in 32 games but he was more crucial for the team. His release clause if a little less than £50 million even though reports say Sporting could listen to offers in the range of £40 million.
With the player in his prime and possibly many more years to come, Liverpool seem to prefer that option to Salah. The former Chelsea man is 24 years and he played under Jose Mourinho. He was sent on a loan deal to Fiorentina where his nine goals in 26 games attracted Roma’s attention. The Egyptian played a year at Roma before he eventually agreed to join them on a permanent basis for £15 million. Continue reading LIVERPOOL WANT SPORTING LISBON’S MARTINS

It’s rumored that Liverpool’s JurgenKlopp has not been impressed by his main goal-keepers Simon Mignolet or by Loris Karius and it’s because of this reason that JurgenKlopp is being linked with Steve Mandanda as a possible player that could be signed during the summer transfer window.

Steve Bruce says if he remained only a club Footballer in his life and did not make it to the international level, Alex Ferguson is responsible for that.
Bruce was going to be picked by the Irish association if he had said yes when they had come knocking in the early nineties. The former defender was 34 years of age back then and had no scope of an England career at all.
As per Bruce, if he was on himself, it would have been an easy ‘yes’ from his side, but, for the interests of Manchester United, Ferguson asked him to sacrifice that opportunity and he did that. Continue reading BRUCE REJECTED IRELAND
