Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that he lacks depth in his squad at the moment and that it would be tough going in the holiday season fixtures.

He said that he would have liked to rotate his team a bit during the Christmas season but because of injuries he would not be able to do so.

Jurgen Klopp said that he is keen to add new players to the team during the January transfer window but one of his main targets Christian Pulisic is not available for sale. Borussia Dortmund has told their former coach that this player forms part of the future for the team and that they do not have the intention of selling him.

Jurgen Klopp feels that he lacks some depth at the moment and that it will be tough to continue like this. It is believed that he has already informed the Liverpool hierarchy that he would need some additional players during the January transfer window in order to mount a serious push for the title.
The German manager said that it is a tough situation at the moment and that he does not have many options at the moment. He has promoted some of the best U23 players in the team, but he feels that they are not ready enough to play in tough games. He said that he would have to wait for his injured players to get back into the team before getting options.

He said that Liverpool needs to improve their defending collectively and not allow their goalkeepers to be exposed to shots from a distance. He feels that there is a lack of urgency in the team sometimes and this is why the opposition players are allowed so much freedom to shoot and to pick a player with a long pass.
