Liverpool still interested in signing Sadio Mane

It is believed that Liverpool will make a bid of £30 million next week to sign Sadio Mane from Southampton.

If the deal goes through he will be joining the likes of Adam Lallana, DejanLovren, and Nathaniel Clyne, who has made the move from Southampton to Liverpool.

Ever since taking charge of the club, Jurgen Klopp has displayed his intentions of signing another offensive midfielder, and he will feel that Mane will be a great player to boost his attack. Indeed Mane is a player that will fit Klopp’s philosophy as he is full of running and carry a potential threat from midfield.

It is reported that Klopp wanted to sign Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich, but the player did not feel to be keen to join Liverpool. The German manager has chosen instead to step up his pursuit of Sadio Mane as he wants to get all his players in place before the pre-season begins. Indeed this will be Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in change, and he will have no excuse this time if Liverpool do not show any sign of improvement.

Liverpool will want to sign the player as early as possible, but there is still fear that the discussions may be quite difficult as Southampton is currently without manager. The club’s board might be busy searching for a new manager rather than looking to sell players.

So far Liverpool have already signed three players. Marko Grujic and Joel Matip were signed backed in January but will be joining the team during the pre-season training camp. Jurgen Klopp has also signed Loris Karius in order to boost his goalkeeping department. The German manager has stated that his transfer business has not yet finished and that he will sign other quality players in order to improve the team.
